ITHACA, N.Y. – After a rainy start to the second day of play at the Cornell Invitational, Dartmouth men’s golf tied for eighth place finishing with a combined score of 295 in the final round. The host school finished first with shooting a 879 (+27).

On the individual leaderboard, Colgate’s Ryan Skae maintained first place shooting six-under par. Cornell’s Luke Graboyes, who was named one of the Ivy League Conference's Top Ten Golfers last year, came in 2nd at even par. Dartmouth’s Ian Kelsey finished 15th leading the Big Green shooting a combined 222 (+9).

Senior Sean Fahey rallied during the competition with eight birdies through 54 holes finishing with a 10-over at 213. Classmate Jeff Lang continued to improve his play shooting a 75 (+4) in the third round.

John Lazor took third amongst the Big Green with a combined score of 225 (+12) after two days. Fellow sophomore Reed Russ completed his final round with an 81 (+10).

Meanwhile freshman Will Bednarz completed his first tournament for Dartmouth with a score of 74 (+3) in the final round, shooting seven strokes better than his first. Classmate Riley Griffin picked up his play between the second and the third rounds improving by five strokes with a shot of 76 (+5).

The Big Green are back in action next weekend at the Quechee Club in Quechee, Vermont, Dartmouth’s only home game of the season.
