HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth junior Benjamin Ose was named a 2017-18 Google Cloud Academic First Team All-District member for the track and field/cross country category as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The Eden Prairie, Minnesota native was one of 11 individuals selected from District 1, which consists of schools from New England plus New York.

Ose earned his spot on this year’s academic team thanks to a 3.58 grade point average as a biomedical engineering major.

The junior will also be Dartmouth’s lone representative at the 2018 NCAA Outdoor Championship next weekend at Oregon’s Hayward Field in Eugene. Ose will be competing in the decathlon, an event he won at the Ivy League Heptagonal Championship at the start of the month. Additionally, Ose was the indoor heptathlon champion at the Ancient Eight meet in Hanover back in February, making him one of the top multis performers in the nation this year.
