HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth men’s track & field team will be sending eight student-athletes to the 2018 the 2018 NCAA Outdoor East Regional next week in Tampa.
South Florida will host the three-day meet starting next Thursday and running through Saturday (May 24-26) at the USF Track & Field Stadium.
Sophomore Henry Raymond is going in the 1500m as is freshman Timothy Zepf in the 800m. Rounding out the field of six Dartmouth men representing the team on the track is Marco Pompilj in the 3000m steeplechase.
Away from the track and in the throws area will be a pair of seniors. Colin Minor qualified and will compete in the hammer throw, while Ben Colello earned his spot in the javelin field thanks to a strong showing in the event during the decathlon at Heps in Philadelphia two weeks ago.
Despite sending nine to the 2017 East Regional in Kentucky last year, there was a good deal of turnover for the Green and White this season as only Raymond and Minor are making their second trip in as many seasons.
The meet will be streamed live on FloTrack in partnership with the NCAA.
Additionally, junior Ben Ose has already earned his spot at the 2018 NCAA Championship Meet in Oregon as one of the competitors in the decathlon. Since the decathlon does not compete at the regional meet, the top-scoring student-athletes during the season automatically qualify for a spot in Oregon next month.
