ORLANDO – Saturday at the UCF Black & Gold Challenge saw the Dartmouth men’s track & field team compete in its second day of the 2018 outdoor season.
The non-scoring meet was held at the UCF Track Complex and saw several new faces take to the track or throwing area for the first time since the indoor season concluded three weeks ago.
The top performance of the day was an eighth-place showing by Parker Johnson in the 110m hurdles. Johnson ran a 14.82 to lead the way, while Alec Eschholz (14.91), Ben Colello (15.49) and Benjamin Ose (15.65) were 11th, 14th and 17th, respectively.
Ethan Ruh was 10th in the shot put as his best throw of 14.97m came on his third and final attempt. The discus featured four Big Green throwers with Colello’s 19th-place showing thanks to a 41.62m throw led the way.
The 400m saw Amos Cariati claim 14th with a 49.19.
Dartmouth now heads north to the Florida Panhandle to compete in the Florida State Relays on Friday.
