HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth men’s indoor track & field team earned its first win of the 2016-17 season Saturday at Leverone Field House.

The Big Green put together a solid effort, finishing with 79 points, ahead of New Hampshire (57) and Maine (50).

The highlight was senior Nico Robinson taking home the top spot in the pentathlon by winning six-of-seven events. Robinson finished with 5237 points, ahead of second-place sophomore Benjamin Ose and his 4965 points.

Phil Gomez (1:05.62) and Amos Cariati (1:06.20) were one-two in the 500m, while Myles Holt (50.60), Alec Eschholz (50.90) and Parker Johnson (51.87) were the top three runners in the 400m.

Shawn Ohazuruike  (8.51), Eschholz (8.60) and Johnson (8.71) also claimed the top spots in the 60m hurdles.

In the field events, Dartmouth was dominant, picking up wins in the long jump (Corey Muggler, 23-2.5/7.07m), triple jump (Muggler, 48-1.75/14.67m), shot put (Lucas Ribeiro, 53-0.0/16.15m), pole vault (Max Cosculluela, 15-11.0/4.85m) and the weight throw (Tim Brennan, 58-1.25/17.71m).
