The Dartmouth women’s basketball team continues a two-game road trip in New York, taking on the Marist Red Foxes in Poughkeepsie on Saturday night.
SCOUTING THE RED FOXES
Marist is coming off an, 85-60, loss to Seton Hall on Thursday night, and have only won one game so far this season, against Holy Cross in mid-November. Sophomore Rebekah Hand is leading the Red Foxes offense with a 15.9 point-per-game scoring average, and twin Hannah Hand is following with an 11.0 points per game average.
LAST TIME AGAINST MARIST
Last season, Dartmouth hosted Marist in Hanover and lost, 66-61. Olivia Smith led the Big Green effort with 14 points and Andi Norman posted 13, but the home team fell short in the last minute as the Red Foxes made eight foul shots in the final 60 seconds to take the win.
LAST TIME OUT
Dartmouth is coming off its first loss of the season, falling to Army on Wednesday night, 71-56. Norman led the offense with 14 points, as the Big Green held on through the first half at West Point, but were unable to hold the scoring back in the second half as the Black Knights scored 34 points in the last two periods to take the win.
Each game this season, at least three players have scored in double digits. While Dartmouth suffered its first loss to Army, three players posted 10 or more points to keep the team in the game. Junior Cy Lippold is leading the team in points per game, averaging 15.4, while rebound leader Kate Letkewicz is second in scoring with 14.6 points per game and 8.2 boards per game.
CLASS OF 2021
The two freshman members of the Big Green, Elle Louie and Anna Luce, have appeared in four and five games respectively. Luce has scored 12 points thus far in her career, and Louie has posted six, the pair have a combined 10 rebounds through their games played.

Following this weekend, Dartmouth will return home to face New Hampshire on Tuesday at 11 a.m. and will host Maine on Saturday, December 9 at 12 p.m., both games at Leede Arena.
