HANOVER, N.H. – Freshman Olympia Nagel-Caland was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week on Tuesday for her performance in Dartmouth’s 3-1 loss to Harvard on Saturday.
She led the team with her 12 kills, almost doubling her previous season-best of seven against Rhode Island the weekend before. She also had three digs, a .346 hitting percentage, one block and 12.5 points. She was the lone freshman to hit .300 or better with double-digit kills this week.
Nagel-Caland is the Big Green's first Rookie of the Week recipient since Emily Astarita ’17 shared the honor on Oct. 29, 2013.
Dartmouth will host Columbia and Cornell this Friday and Saturday.
