NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Dartmouth women’s outdoor track & field team picked a pair first-place performances at Yale’s Mark Young Invitational at the Dewitt Cuyler Athletic Complex on Saturday.

In the pole vault, freshman Julia Valenti claimed first, clearing 3.80m in the fewest attempts to take home the individual title.

Bridget Douglas was the top performer in the javelin with a throw of 38.57m. Mary Sieredzinski was fifth in the same event with a 32.75m toss to her credit.

Miranda Lawson claimed a pair of top-five finishes taking fourth in the 800m (26.26) and third in the 100m hurdles (16.32). Sieredzinski was fourth in the 100m hurdles (17.33) to finish one spot back of the Lawson.

Lauren Archer (3rd, 4:50.15) in the 400m hurdles, Marissa Evans (4th, 1:11.77) in the 400m hurdles, Maria Garman (3rd, 5.39m) in the long jump and Amelia Ali in both the hammer throw (4th, 47.94m) and the shot put (5th, 12.24m) all also posted top-five finishes for the Big Green on Saturday.

The meet was non-scoring.
