HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Dartmouth women’s track & field team finished its weekend at High Point’s Bob Davidson Spring Kick-Off in seventh place.
Over the course of the two days of competition at Dick Vert Stadium, the Big Green posted 59.5 points to finish in the top half of a field of 16 total teams.
Freshman Cha'Mia Rothwell was second overall in the 200m in 24.44. That time was the fourth-fastest mark ever run by a Dartmouth woman in the event. Sophomore Nicole Deblasio was fifth with a 24.68, the fifth-fastest time in program history.
(An amendment to Friday’s release: Rothwell’s 13.69 in the final of the 100m hurdles shattered the Dartmouth record in the event. The previous best mark in the 100m hurdles was 14.29 set two years ago, a time Rothwell bested by more than half a second in at High Point.)
The 4x400m relay team ran a 3:57.65 to claim seventh.
Folasade Akinfe was fifth in the triple jump as her best mark measured 11.59m, while Julia Valenti was third in the pole vault, clearing 3.80m. In the discus, sophomore Amelia Ali was ninth with a 40.81m to her credit.
