HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth women’s tennis opened the Big Green Invite on Friday, facing Missouri in doubles and singles action. The tournament, which is Dartmouth’s only home event of the fall, features Missouri, Penn State, Purdue and Yale and will run through Sunday.
All three of the Green’s doubles matches were very close, but the Gophers came out on top in two of them. In the other match, sophomore Allison Chuang and freshman Racquel Lyn had a 7-6(8) win over Kadi Fauble and Claire Sullivan.
Dartmouth went 3-3 in singles action. Senior Taylor Ng had a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Brianna Lashway, while classmate Jacqueline Crawford defeated Cassidy Spearman, 6-0, 6-1. Lyn and Tate Schroeder’s match went to three sets but, after the Big Green freshman dropped the second set, she rallied to come back and win the third.
The tournament will resume at 10 a.m. on Saturday and the Big Green will play at 2 p.m. All matches can be watched on the Ivy League Digital Network (ILDN) with a subscription.
