PROVIDENCE, R.I. – While half the squad was at regionals, the other half of the Dartmouth women’s tennis team was at the two-day Brown Invitational. On the first day on Saturday, the Big Green went 2-2 in doubles and 2-6 in singles in matches against Boston College and Brown. On Sunday, Dartmouth went 0-2 in doubles and 2-1 in singles against Yale.

Against the Eagles, sophomore Chuyang Guan and freshman Jasmine Abidi defeated Dasha Possokhova and Elene Tsokilauri, 6-2, while senior Shannon Mukerji and junior Allison Chuang took down Maria Ross and Micayla Casella, 6-4.

In Dartmouth’s singles matches against BC, Abidi had a 6-4, 4-6, 10-6 victory over Casella.

The Green dropped both of their doubles matches to the Bears, but in singles, Guan had a 2-6, 7-5, 10-1 win over Katie Ta. 

On Sunday, Guan won her first set against Opala Dhingra, 6-4, but dropped the second by the same score. She took the super breaker, 10-8. Chuang took down Sunday Swett, 7-5, 6-0.

Next up will be the Big Green Invite, which will take place from Nov. 3-5.
