MALIBU, Calif. – Dartmouth women’s tennis senior Kristina Mathis and Columbia’s Victor Pham had a great run, making it all the way to the semifinal of mixed doubles before narrowly falling on the second day of the 2017 ITA/Oracle Masters. 

After winning both of their matches the day before, Mathis and Pham played a great match, but were edged by Baylor’s Johannes Schrutter and Samantha Harris of Duke, 8-7(3).

In the first round of consolation singles, the Big Green co-captain faced Michelle Lui of Seattle and walked away with a 6-3, 6-2 victory.

Mathis’ second round singles match against Margita Sunjic of Northern Kentucky will take place at noon (EDT) on Saturday.
