HANOVER, N.H. – Two members of the Dartmouth women’s tennis team are nationally ranked in singles play, as announced in the first Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Women’s Collegiate Tennis Rankings of 2017.

Freshman Racquel Lyn is tied for No. 104 with Maddie Lipp of Northwestern, while senior Taylor Ng is No. 123.

In addition to the national rankings, three players are ranked in the Northeast Region. Lyn is No. 13, Ng is No. 5 and senior Jacqueline Crawford is No. 17. In doubles, Ng and Lyn are No. 3 in the region.

Before concluding the fall in November, the Big Green played in four invitationals: the Tribe Invitational, Bulldog Invitational, ITA Northeast Regional Championship and the Big Green Invite. At the ITA Regionals, Lyn and Ng made it all the way to the doubles semifinal, but were defeated by a pair from Syracuse. Ng also played in the quarterfinal and semifinal of singles, falling in the latter.

Dartmouth will open the 2017 portion of the season on Saturday, Jan. 21, when it hosts Boston University. The Big Green will then host Boston College and Purdue (Jan. 28-29) before playing their final tournaments of the season, the Courtside Classic in Minneapolis and the ECAC Winter Championship in Cambridge.
