HANOVER, N.H. – Chris Drake and Bob Dallis – head coaches of the Dartmouth men’s and women’s tennis teams – will host two Fall Elite Training Camps next month. The boys camp will be from Nov. 11-13, while the girls camp will be the following week, Nov. 18-20.
The elite camps at Dartmouth are high intensity training and exposure opportunities for aspiring college players. The coaches and their staff will be directing all aspects of the camp on and off the court, giving players a unique opportunity to train like a Division 1 tennis player and receive feedback on their games to help prepare for college tennis.
The camp will feature college style practices and two-team match play in the college (dual) format. In the team practices, players will be challenged with college level drills that are taken directly from the coaches’ varsity practices.
In the team matches, the players will get exposed to the excitement and fun of the college style format. An added bonus of this format is the on-court coaching. The staff will be on court throughout these matches to give the players feedback and guidance on how to improve their games.
We will also have a session focused on doubles play, a key ingredient to being a great college player, as well as a Q&A session with the coaches to discuss college tennis and the recruiting process.
These camps are high intensity training camps for serious players – usually with USTA tournament experience – looking to play college tennis in the future.
