NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Dartmouth women’s tennis team went 3-1 on the third day of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Northeast Regional Championship on Sunday.
Senior Taylor Ng moved into the quartfinals with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Yale’s Madison Battaglia. Freshman Racquel Lyn had a close second set, but ultimately fell to Jessica Livianu of St. John’s, 6-2, 7-5.
In doubles, Ng and Lyn paired up to defeat Luba Vazhenina and Marta Kowalski of Penn 8-7(5). Later in the day, they took down Cornell’s Priyanka Shah and Mariko Linuma by the same score in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals.
Ng will play singles at 10 a.m. on Monday against Gabriela Knuston of Syracuse. She and Lyn will take on Knuston and Valerie Salazar after singles.
