STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The Dartmouth women’s cross country team placed third at the Penn State Nationals on Friday morning against one of the top fields of any meet in the nation this week.

The Big Green posted 122 points on the 6K course, edging out fourth-place Princeton and their team score of 125 and fifth-place Cornell (162). Penn State won its home meet with 44 points, while perennial national power Villanova took second with 62.

Junior Olivia Lantz and senior Leigh Moffett posted top-20 showings on the overcast day in central Pennsylvania. Lantz ran a 20:44 to take 13th, while Moffet’s 20:45 placed her 16th overall.

Sophomore Julia Stevenson was 26th in 21:06 with freshman Ella Ketchum following soon thereafter in 21:10 to take 29th in a field of nearly 200 runners. Rounding out the scoring for Dartmouth was Glenny Murphy and her 38th-place finish in 21:19.

Taking sixth and seventh, respectively, for the Green and White were junior Lillian Anderson (42nd, 21:22) and senior Abby Livingston (56th, 21:37).
