HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth women’s cross country team will look to build on a strong season to this point with a good showing Friday morning at the 2017 Ivy League Heptagonal Championship.
The Big Green’s top group has been consistently at the top of the standings at meets all season against some of the best competition in the country. Confidence from those successes will serve the team well as they face off against the seven other Ancient Eight programs Friday morning at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx on the 6K course.
In addition to winning the season-opening Maribel Sanchez Souther Invitational at home in early September, the Green and White have put together strong showings at Boston College (4th) and Penn State (3rd) when fielding their top runners in 2017.
A seventh-place finish a year ago at West Windsor Fields now seems like a distant memory as Dartmouth is poised to make a return to the podium as a team.
