HANOVER, N.H. – Senior defender Wyatt Omsberg of the Dartmouth men’s soccer team has been invited to participate in the 2018 MLS Adidas Player Combine, he is one of 60 top collegiate players who will showcase their talent in front of all 23 MLS clubs.
The combine takes place in Orlando, Florida from January 11-17, immediately ahead of the 2018 SuperDraft to take place on Jan. 19. A committee of MLS coaches and NCAA Division I coaches from every conference selected the invitees, all of whom completed their college eligibility this season, and seven semifinalists for the Men’s MAC Hermann Trophy headline the list of initial invitees.
Omsberg will be joined by Arthur Bosua, a Columbia forward, as the two are the only Ivy League players initially invited to the combine. The Scarborough, Maine native will travel to the Sunshine State, following four years of playing for the Big Green with several honors, including two-time Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year for 2016 and 2017. The defender was most recently named to the Top Drawer Soccer Best XI First Team, United Soccer Coaches All-America Second Team and First Team All-Region.
