PRINCETON, N.J. – Senior midfielder Matt Danilack has been named Ivy League Player of the Week following his game-winning goal against Harvard on Saturday, announced by the conference Monday.

Both teams played scoreless through almost the entirety of the game on Saturday, even though the Big Green took 30 shots. In the 89th minute, Danilack connected on an assist from junior Justin Donawa inside the box, sending a bicycle kick into the net past the keeper’s hands, taking the win.

The captain is second on the team in goals with five this season and helped lead the offensive pace against the Crimson with six shots. This is Danilack’s fourth Ivy League weekly award in his collegiate career as he was named Player of the Week in 2016 and 2014, with a Rookie of the Week honor in 2014 as well. It is the team’s third honor of the season.

This weekend, the Rockville, Maryland native will lead his team in their final home, regular season game against Cornell at 1 p.m., also celebrating Senior Day, at Burnham Field.
