OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Senior defender Wyatt Omsberg has been selected as a candidate for the Men’s and Women’s 2017 Senior CLASS Award. The acronym stands for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School. 

There are 60 total men’s and women’s soccer student-athletes who are candidates for the award. The qualifications are that the athlete must be in their senior year of college playing for an NCAA Division I program, and have achievements in the areas of classroom, community, character and competition.

Omsberg is among student-athletes from schools across the country who excel in the classroom and on the field. The senior defender is leading the Dartmouth offense with three goals and is serving as a co-captain on the team this season.

Each list of candidates will be narrowed from 30 to 10, and those 10 names will be on the official ballot which will be available for coaches, media members and fans to vote on. The winners of the award will be announced during the NCAA College Cup championship games in December.
