SATURDAY’S GAME
The Dartmouth men’s soccer team will travel to Hartford to take on the Hawks on Saturday night.

SCOUTING THE HAWKS
Hartford enters the contest with a 1-2-1 record, after losing to Yale 1-0 on Wednesday night.  The Hawks are coming off a solid 2016 season, where they reached their third-straight American East Championship game, before losing the title to Albany. In the preseason poll Hartford was selected to finish fifth in the conference. After losing a handful of players at the end of last season, the Hawks are now frontloaded on underclassmen boasting 11 freshmen and seven sophomores as well as three redshirted sophomores. Fredrik Ekman, Gael Kisombe and Rasmus Karlsson are leading the team offensively, with one goal each, and goalkeeper Jimmy Slayton is holding down the fort with nine saves and only four allowed.

LAST TIME AGAINST HARTFORD
The Big Green took on Hartford last fall and lost 1-0 at home.  That was the first time the two teams had met since 1993, and the Hawks hold the series record at 2-1-0.

LAST TIME OUT
Dartmouth is coming off a 1-0 road loss to Michigan last Monday. The game was the Big Green’s second of the season and while there were opportunities to score, the Wolverines’ defense and goalie kept those chances from fruition.

AYE AYE CAPTAIN
The Big Green are led by seniors Matt Danilack, Tyler Dowse and Wyatt Omsberg, who all served as assistant captains last year.

BETWEEN THE PIPES
Freshman keeper Christopher Palacios had his first collegiate start against Michigan and is leading the Ivy League in save percentage with .833, and is third in the conference in saves with five.
