Gaube faced Hayley Hughes from Drexel in the first round, falling in four games only winning the third game. The Victoria, Canada native then went onto the consolation rounds, facing Ona Prokes from Drexel who she fell to earlier this season at home and coming out on top 3-1. In the semifinals of consolation, Gaube took down Julia Ward from Williams, winning in four games once again.

Gaube moved on to the finals of the consolation round and took down Tatyanna Dadabbo from Stanford in a long, five-game match.
