CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – On Sunday afternoon, the No. 10 Dartmouth women’s squash team took on No. 4 Stanford, at Harvard’s squash courts, leaving with an 8-1 loss to the Cardinals.
With five courts to play on, only two rounds of matches were necessary. Co-captain Becky Brownell had a good match winning in three games, while freshman Brynn Bank managed to get one game off her opponent and junior Emma Roberts had a thrilling, five-game match, but did not convert. Julia Potter lost in three games.
The second round saw some tough matches, as Annie Blasberg and Janel Gaube both lost in three games. Freshman Sandra Reiss played long and hard, but could only take one game from her opponent. Co-captain Zainab Molani and freshman Ellie Gozigian were both swept 3-0. While the team was only able to tally one win, the score did not reflect the tenacity the women showed on the court.
