HANOVER, N.H. – Head coach Danielle Spencer has announced the 2017 schedule for the Dartmouth women’s lacrosse team.

Spencer’s first season with the Big Green will feature 14 total games with an even split of seven home and road tilts.

Dartmouth will play four games at Scully-Fahey Field against Ivy League opponents with the first coming against defending co-champion Princeton on March 25. Following the Tigers to Hanover will be Harvard (April 1), Cornell (April 15) and Brown (April 29) with the match-up against the Bears serving as the regular-season finale and Senior Day.

Three conference road contests are set to see the Green and White travel to Columbia (March 5), Penn (April 8) and Yale (April 29).

Dartmouth opens the season with a two-game road trip at UMass Lowell (Feb. 18) and New Hampshire (Feb. 22) before the home opener against its third straight America East opponent Binghamton (Feb. 25).

Other non-conference home games include Southern California (March 17) and Boston College (April 12), while the Big Green will venture out to play more non-Ivy tilts at Boston University (March 1) and Siena (March 29).

The games against the Eagles and Trojans are the highlights of the team’s non-conference home slate. Both BC and USC made the NCAA Tournament in 2016 with the fifth-ranked Trojans finishing a goal shy of reaching the Final Four. Boston College and Dartmouth played each other last season for the first time since meeting back in the 2013 NCAA Tournament’s first round, a game the Big Green won.

"We have great competition at home this spring,” Spencer said. “We are looking forward to getting the season started and can’t wait for everyone to join us at Scully-Fahey Field in 2017."

The conference’s postseason tournament will take place at the home of the top seed and 2017 Ivy League Champion on May 5 and 7 with times to be announced the week leading up.

All home games and Ivy League road contests will be broadcast live and in HD on the Ivy League Digital Network.
