HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth men’s lacrosse head coach Brendan Callahan has announced the team’s 2017 schedule. The Big Green will take to the field 13 times in the regular season and will play at Scully-Fahey Field six times throughout the two-month season.
Callahan is returning for his third year at the helm of the program and is joined by Scott Hackett-Dalgliesh – who is in his second season – and Nate Norbo, who comes to Hanover from Elizabethtown, where he was an assistant for two years.
Dartmouth will kick off the season at Canisius (Feb. 18) before playing a pair of games at home, hosting Sacred Heart (Feb. 25) and Vermont (Feb. 28).
Five of the next six contests will be played on the road. The Big Green will face Wagner (March 4), North Carolina (March 18) and Navy (March 21) and will return home to open Ivy League play against Harvard (March 25) before heading back out on the road to face Cornell (April 1) and Yale (April 8).
After being on the road for the better part of the last month, just four games remain on the schedule, and all but one will be played at Scully-Fahey. Dartmouth will host UMass Lowell (April 11) in its final non-conference game of the season and, four days later, will take on Princeton (April 15).
The game against the Penn Quakers (April 22) will be the Big Green’s final road game of 2017. The following weekend, Dartmouth will close the year by playing Brown (April 29) on Senior Day.
