San Diego, Calif. – Five members of the Dartmouth sailing team have been named to the 2017 Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) All-Academic Sailing Team.
Being recognized for their excellence in national and inter-conference competition, as well as their achievements at the highest academic level, are seniors Madeleine Cooney, Nathanial Greason, Sophie Kerr and Mia Steck, and junior Peggy Kilvert.
This year’s All-Academic Team features 223 sailors, who were selected by a seven-person committee made up of representatives from conferences in the ICSA. To qualify for these honors a sailor must be a junior or senior with at least a 3.3 or higher cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale, and be a starter or key reserve in at least seven university sponsored regattas.
The All-Academic Sailing Team was inaugurated in 2006.
