HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth sailing team traveled to Connecticut to participate in the Thompson Trophy on Sunday, and despite cold temperatures and rough weather in the forecast the race went on.
The Big Green finished 13th of 18 teams with 344 points, ahead of George Washington with 385, Tufts with 394 and Vermont with 460. The Thompson Trophy was hosted by Connecticut College, who came in 11th. Harvard took the big win with 190 points while Stanford came in second with 259 and the Coast Guard Academy took third.
Racing for Dartmouth were Alyssa Berger and Jack McGraw racing in the A Division while Timothy Greenhouse and Mary Amis competed in the B Division and Max Clapp and Sarah Chong sailed in the C Division.
Next weekend the Big Green are scheduled to compete in four regattas with only two weekends left of competition in the regular season.
