BOSTON, Mass. – The Dartmouth sailing team qualified for Nationals with a sixth place finish this weekend at the NEISA Coed Championship/US Coast Guard Alumni Bowl.

The top eight finishers from this weekend's regatta earned an invitation to Nationals which will be held later this month at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. The Big Green took sixth with 264 points, while Ivy League foe Yale, took the top spot with 201. Roger Williams finished second with 218, while the host school, Boston College finished third with 226 points.

Saturday's excellent conditions allowed for 10 races per division to be completed. The breeze ranged from 8 to over 15 knots in the final race, shifting gradually right throughout the day.

Dartmouth recorded one victory as well as seven top five finishes across both divisions.

The Big Green will rest up and prepare for the postseason before the women's squad competes in the Sperry College Sailing Women's National Championship on May 23. The coed team will race in the Gill College Sailing Coed National Championship on May 30.
