CARLESTON, S.C. – The Dartmouth sailing team competed in the Bob Bavier Team Race over the weekend, taking fourth place with a 10-11 record in Charleston, South Carolina.
Saturday brought 8-10 knot North-Northeast winds with a building flood tide. By midday the winds filled in at 12-15 knots, as Dartmouth finished the first round with a 4-5 record.
On Sunday, the Big Green cracked the top four, going 6-3 in round two. Dartmouth was able to notch victories against Coast Guard and Navy under lighter winds that reached up to 5-8 knots.
The Big Green return to the water on March 25-26 with multiple events in multiple locations.
