The next generation of Big Green athletes are carrying on the Dartmouth tradition.Two freshmen stood out this past week. Isabel Boettcher led the women's rugby team to its second straight win, posting three tries in a 22-15 win over Harvard. Classmate Jack McGraw played an instrumental role in leading the sailing team to a second place finish in the Hewitt Trophy Regatta.

Their efforts are rewarded by being named the DartmouthSports.com Athletes of the Week.

Isabel Boettcher, Fr., Olympia, Wash., Rugby, Fullback

The Dartmouth freshman was a huge reason for Dartmouth’s 22-15 win over Harvard at home this past Saturday. Boettcher scored three tries, accounting for 15 of the team’s 22 points in the narrow win. She scored twice in the game’s opening minutes and then tacked on another in the first minute of the second half in helping the Big Green improve to 4-1 this season and a perfect 3-0 against Ivy foes.

Jack McGraw, Fr., San Diego, Calif., Sailing

Jack McGraw had a solid weekend on the water for the Big Green. McGraw played a role in Dartmouth’s second place finish in the Hewitt Trophy, which was hosted on Mascoma Lake in Enfield. In the A and B Division, the Big Green recorded a quartet of top-five finishes, while in Division C, Dartmouth rallied for five victories.
