Why Dartmouth?
I really wanted a school with a close-knit community, and Dartmouth felt perfect for this. Besides great academics, I felt it was a place where I could explore outside of the classroom and have a great four years.

How long have you been sailing and what got you interested in sailing?
I started sailing at summer camp and loved it, but living in Dallas meant there were limited opportunities to sail, so I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to get involved in it here at Dartmouth.

What Sailing or Academic achievements are you particularly proud of?
I'm proud of getting involved in sailing here at Dartmouth. In high school, I graduated Cum Laude and was a National AP Scholar.

Tell us something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.
I have backpacked to 10 countries by myself and hope to add more to the list.

What are your future sailing and career plans?
I hope sailing will always be a part of my life, and career-wise, I hope to do something related to international development.

What sports or activities did you pursue in high school, and what do you hope to continue at Dartmouth?
In high school, I played lacrosse and field hockey and was also involved in Model United Nations and Junior World Affairs Council. Here at Dartmouth, I hope to find clubs to let me continue exploring international issues and continue volunteer work, which is something that has always been important to me.
