Women's Soccer finishes the fall with a win over Cornell and football rebounds with a win over the Big Red. Senior Ally Dutton scored the game winner, her first collegiate goal, to lead the women's soccer team to victory. Senior Nick Schwieger reclaimed his Big Green record of most rushing yards in a game by rushing for 257 yards against the Big Red in a 33-24 victory. With their accomplishments Dutton and Schwieger have earned the distinction of athletes of the week.

Each week, will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.

Ally Dutton (Granite Bay, Calif.) Senior, MF, Soccer

Dutton propelled the Dartmouth women's soccer team to a 1-0 win over Cornell in the 2011 season finale on Saturday (Nov. 5). The goal, Dutton's first collegiate goal, was Dartmouth's ninth goal of the season and gave the women's soccer team its fourth win at Burnham Field this season. Dutton, who saw action in 46 career games, played primarily in the midfield and defense and with her goal against Cornell picked up her fourth career point.

Nick Schwieger (Norton, Mass.), Senior, RB , Football

Senior running back Nick Schwieger (Norton, Mass.), Dartmouth’s all-time leading rusher, earned Ivy League Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors, as well as the College Football Performance Awards FCS National Running Back Performer of the Week, for his record-setting performance against Cornell on Saturday. The Bishop Feehan product reclaimed his Big Green record by rushing for 257 yards against the Big Red in a 33-24 victory, surpassing 1,000 yards for the second straight season. Schwieger has 1,016 yards on the ground this year, and with his 1,133 yards a year ago, is now the only Dartmouth player to ever rush for 1,000 yards in a season twice.
