The first live event to be streamed on Big Green Insider through The Ivy League® Digital Network will take place next weekend when the men’s soccer team hosts Holy Cross at Burnham Field on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. Two days later, the men will be featured again in a home game versus Boston College at 5 p.m. Both events will be available in HD, giving fans a bigger and better view of all of the action on the field.
Powered by NeuLion, Big Green Insider is a part of the Ivy League’s completely redesigned, nine-channel digital network that includes an easy-to-navigate interface, a league-wide network schedule and new interactive features, such as simultaneous four-game viewing, full DVR controls and social media integration. These new features enhance the viewing experience for the expanded range of events and other content offerings, all of which are available on computer, mobile and tablet devices all without the use of an app.
Packages for Big Green Insider are $89.95 for 12 months, $39.95 for four months, $10.95 for one month and $9.95 for a single day and include multi-camera HD coverage of all available home and select away games in football, men’s and women’s basketball and men’s and women’s ice hockey. Every available Ivy League contest in those sports will be shown on the network.
Selected live events from football, field hockey, women’s soccer and volleyball are also slated to be featured on the channel this fall. In addition to coverage of Ivy League championship events, live coverage of other winter and spring sports will be announced at a later date. Many of these events, along with additional premium content not available anywhere else, will be available for on-demand viewing at any time.
Packages for the League-wide channel, which features everything the network has to offer, are $119.95 for 12 months, $49.95 for four months and $15.95 for one month.
“This is a terrific breakthrough for our fans,” said Dartmouth Athletics Director Harry Sheehy. “Any time a Big Green team is playing an Ivy League opponent on the road and the host school is streaming the event, our subscribers will now be able to watch it on our own channel. We’re also substantially upgrading the production quality of a number of our home games with multiple HD cameras, instant replays, new graphics and more close-ups.”
“Big Green Insider on The Ivy League Digital Network is poised to present fantastic digital offerings moving forward,” said Chris Wagner, EVP and Co-Founder of NeuLion. “Bringing together all eight schools on a unified network for the first time, the Ivy League is providing its passionate alumni and fans access to more digital content than previously possible.”
