Each week, will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the Woodlands Credit Union Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.

Will Geoghegan,  (Brunswick, Maine) Jr., Cross Country

In the team's first race of the 2012 season, the junior from Maine stepped up an assumed the role of the team's top runner. He not only paced his ream with a 24:50.10 on the Dartmouth Invitational's 8K course at the Hanover Country Club, but his time was good for the top collegiate runner that morning. Running at the front of the pack for much of the race, Geoghegan held off a late surge from Syracuse's Joe Whelan to earn the top spot by just two-hundredths of a second.

Emma Brush, (Grosse Pointe Park, Mich.) Sr., M/F,  Women’s Soccer

Emma Brush picked up her first career multiple-goal game in Dartmouth's 3-1 win over Maine on Friday (Sept. 7) tallying two markers in the victory. She followed that performance with the Big Green's lone goal against No. 21 Rutgers on Sunday (Sept. 9). In all, Brush scored three of Dartmouth's four goals on the weekend.
