Dartmouth looks to the golf course and the lacrosse field for this week's outstanding athletes. Sarah Plumb from women's lacrosse and Peter Williamson for men's golf are this week's Athletes of the Week. Senior Plumb is re-writing the women's lacrosse record book, setting two records this past weekend. Williamson earned individual medalists honors at Princeton for his second individual victory this season on the golf course.

Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the DartmouthSports.com Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.

Sarah Plumb, (Wellesley, Mass.) Sr., Midfield

Plumb broke two Dartmouth records this past weekend as part of the Big Green's two wins over No. 7 Penn and Niagara. Against the Quakers, Plumb set the single-season record for draw controls as she went over the previous mark of 53. Two days later, Plumb had four draws in the first half to eclipse the program's career mark and pull to within four of the Ivy League record as she now has 136 in her career. In those two games, the senior also scored six times, including the eventual game winner Saturday against Penn that broke a 7-7 tie and snapped the team's six-game losing streak to the Quakers. That win propelled the Big Green to sole possession of first place in the Ivy standings at 5-0.

Peter Williamson (Hanover, N.H.), Sr, men's golf

Peter Williamson earned the individual medalist honors at the Princeton Invitational this past weekend, after shooting a four-under-par 67 in the final round. The senior posted a three-round total of five-under-par, beating his closest competition by one stroke.  He made the most of the par 5's in the tournament, playing those holes at five-under. The win marked the second individual victory of the year for Williamson to go along with three second-place finishes. He was also recently named one of five finalists for the Byron Nelson Award.
