HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth field hockey head coach Amy Fowler has released her team’s schedule for the upcoming 2013 season. In all, the Big Green will play 17 regular-season contests, including seven at home at Chase AstroTurf Field.

The year begins in early September with two games in the Golden State against California (Sept. 6) and UC-Davis (Sept. 8) with both contests being played at Cal’s field in Berkeley. The season opener with the Bears, set for a 7 p.m. ET start, will air live on the Pac-12 Network.

Upon returning home to the East Coast, Dartmouth will take on Northeastern in a non-conference match-up on Sept. 13 at 6 p.m.

Home dates begin on Saturday, Sept. 21 at noon as the defending national champions from Princeton come to Hanover for the Ivy League opener. Columbia (Oct. 27) and Cornell (Nov. 9) mark the only other two Ivy home games on the slate this fall.

Bryant (Sept. 25), UMass-Lowell (Oct. 11), Maine (Oct. 15) and in-state rival New Hampshire (Nov. 3) comprise the four non-conference games scheduled for Chase Field in 2013.

A four-game road stretch beginning in late September will feature two Ivy League contests at Brown (Sept. 28) and Penn (Oct. 6) with tilts at Holy Cross (Sept. 29) and Drexel (Oct. 4) in between.

The Green and White will travel to Yale (Oct. 19) and Harvard (Nov. 2) for the final two road league games of the season. The annual regional battle against Vermont is set for Burlington this year as the Big Green and Catamounts play a Wednesday matinee on Oct. 23 at 3 p.m.

"The 2013 campaign proves to be another challenging year for us, with regard to our schedule," Fowler said. "We head to California for two out-of-region games which will provide a solid test for us as we head back to the East Coast to take regional foe, Northeastern.

"Our biggest test of the year will be squaring off in our first home match against 2012 National Champions, Princeton," Fowler continued. "Our home opener should prove to be an exciting weekend for everyone, as we are also hosting our Pioneers of Dartmouth Field Hockey event - celebrating all of our alums and highlighting all of the women who played in the 70's and 80's, when Dartmouth dominated the Ivy League! The 2013 squad is diligently working to put the Big Green back on top!"
