HANOVER, N.H. - On Sunday, Oct. 23, immediately following its game with Boston College, the Dartmouth field hockey team is inviting both boys and girls from the local community (Grades 4-12) to a FREE skills clinic at Chase Field.

The Big Green will take on the No. 12 Eagles at 2 p.m., and then will work to grow and develop the sport of field hockey in the community with its free skills clinic afterward. Tentative time for the start will be 4 p.m. and will run one hour.

Admission to the game is also FREE to all fans.

Instructing the kids at this free event will be current Dartmouth players and coaches. Beginners and experienced players are encouraged to cheer on the Big Green against the Eagles and stay to hone their skills with the students-athletes they just saw play at the highest collegiate level.

Those interested are encouraged to bring their own equipment, including: field hockey stick, mouth guard, shin guards and sneakers (please no cleats on the field). Extra field hockey sticks will be available if needed.

Anyone interested in attending this free event is asked to please contact assistant coach Kristine Stigas ahead of time at kristine.stigas@dartmouth.edu.

The Dartmouth field hockey staff, including head coach Amy Fowler, also encourage fans to pass the word along to anyone who might be interested in the effort to help spur interest in this great sport.
