HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth women’s crew team celebrated the 2013 season at its annual end of season banquet. In addition to celebrating the season, the team handed out several individual awards.

Senior Kelly Kennedy (Bloomington, Minn.) took home the Julia H. Greer award. The award, voted on by all members of the crew team, is given to the “oarswoman who has made the most valuable contribution to women's rowing at Dartmouth." Kennedy also took home the Season of ’79 award for service and dedication.

Classmate and 2012-13 captain senior Sarah Rutter (North Andover, Mass.) was awarded the Warren C. Nagle award. The Nagle award is given to the “oarswoman who, with quiet dedication and steadfast loyalty, perseveres towards the goal of giving her absolute best." The award is Rutter’s second this postseason as she was also named a Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Scholar Athlete for the third consecutive season.

Freshman Abby Stevenson (New Canaan, Conn.) earned the Martha Beattie award, which is given to the most outstanding freshman. Stevenson, a member of the first varsity eight, was selected to participate in USRowing’s National Team Freshman camp this summer. The camp will be held in Seattle June 10-16.

Rounding out the award winners are Sarah McGowan (New York, N.Y.) and Lilly Fleischmann (Cincinnati, Ohio). McGowan earned the Novice Award for most outstanding novice, while Fleishmann took home the Parent’s Award for the most improved oarswomen. Fleischmann also earned CRCA Scholar-Athlete honors.
