PRINCETON, N.J. - The Dartmouth women's crew team took to the water at a very chilly Princeton Chase on Sunday (Oct. 30) in Princeton, N.J. The Big Green boated two eights and four fours for the competition. 

In the eights competition, Dartmouth's top eight finished in sixth place with a time of 15:23.00 just behind the top boats from Princeton, Yale and Cornell. 2010 NCAA Champion, Virginia, won the race with a time of 14:35.17.  The Big Green's second boat placed 28th with a time of 16:35.28.

In the fours competition, Dartmouth's top boat raced well and took third place with a time of 17:22.25, just behind boats from Ivy League rivals, Princeton and Cornell. Dartmouth's third boat took 13th with a time of 18:07.67, outpacing Dartmouth's second boat by nearly seven seconds. Dartmouth's second boat took 15th with a time of 18:14.29 while the fourth boat finished in 22nd place with a time of 18:39.70. In the fours competition, Princeton took first place with a time of 16:52.65

Dartmouth returns to the water next week at the annual Green Monster, the annual freshman-only regatta.
