Q&A with Lilly Fleischmann
I loved Dartmouth from the moment I arrived on campus the summer before my senior year, and visiting again in the fall confirmed that this was the place I wanted to be. At Dartmouth you are surrounded by some of the most talented, engaged, and friendly people you will ever meet. The campus is beautiful and the opportunities to be found on it are endless. On the rowing team in particular, you have the chance to train and compete at a high level alongside incredible teammates. I couldn't ask for more.
How long have you been rowing and what interested you in rowing?
I've been rowing since my freshman year of high school. My cousin rowed at Tufts so I knew about the sport, and people at Country Day told me I should try it because I'm tall. I played a lot of different sports before, but none of them tapped into my competitive energy as well as rowing.
What is something that might come as a surprise to your teammates?
Even though we are always around the river, I hate swimming.
What extracurricular activities are you involved in on campus outside of rowing?
I am a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and a writing tutor at RWIT.
