ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The No. 8 Dartmouth men's squash fell to No. 5 Rochester 5-4 at the Lyman Squash Center on Sunday afternoon.

The Big Green have struggled to gain momentum since returning from winter break, going 2-3 in 2013 giving them a record of 5-5 overall, while the Yellowjackets snapped a three-game losing streak to improve to 8-5 on the season.

Mark Funk won his match at the No. 9 spot FOR Dartmouth in three games topping Juan Herrera, 11-6, 11-0, 11-9.

Chris Hanson scored a come-from-behind victory at the No. 1 spot. After dropping the first game to Andres Duany, the Greenwich, Conn., native took the next three to claim the victory.

Kyle Martino and Alex Kurth scored the other points for the Green and White, winning their matches 3-1 at the No. 5 and No. 7 spots, respectively.

The team from the Upper Valley had other opportunities to score, but were unable to capitalize. Fletcher Pease at  the No. 8 spot had chances up 10-8 with match ball, but couldn't close the game out losing 12-10. Michael Mistras also had a chance at the No. 6 spot having game balls in the first two games but couldn't close out either time.

Dartmouth returns home on Feb. 2 as it hosts Ivy League foe Cornell at the Berry Center Squash Courts. The match is set to begin at 12:00 p.m.
