HANOVER, N.H. - Theo Woodward joins the Dartmouth squash program as an assistant coach.
"I am very excited to welcome Theo Woodward as our new men's and women's assistant coach," said head squash coach Hansi Wiens. "Theo is a great fit for our program, and will help us achieve our goals and keep the program strong. His prior coaching experience, along with his connection to the British Squash Association, will benefit our program and give us a competitive edge, both in training and scouting for potential talent."
Prior to arriving at Dartmouth, Woodward worked in the United Kingdom, running the Membership Department for England Squash and Racketball, the UK's governing body for the sport.
Woodward holds the UK Coaching Certificate Level 3 certification - the highest current qualification attainable in the UK. He has coached and mentored Professional Squash Association (PSA) and Women's International Squash Players Association (WISPA) players as well as junior internationals. Woodward has also worked with some of the best coaches in the world, including six-time de facto World Champion Jonah Barrington.
As a player, he was a key member of the British University and National School Championship-winning teams. Additionally, he has won a number of tournaments and played internationally on the Professional Squash Circuit.
Woodward studied Commerce at the University of Birmingham in the UK, graduating with honors and a prize for his extended study on Squash Sponsorship.
