HANOVER, N.H. — The seventh-ranked Dartmouth men's squash team fell at sixth-ranked Cornell on Saturday, 8-1. The loss dropped the Big Green to 6-5 overall and 1-3 in the Ivy League. All five of the team's losses have come to teams ranked in the top six. The win improved the Big Red to 10-3 overall and 3-1 in the Ivy League.

Junior Chris Hanson (Greenwich, Conn.) earned the only victory for Dartmouth at No. 1 singles. Hanson swept Nick Sachvie in three games, 11-3, 11-9, 14-12. Senior Nick Sisodia (Chicago, Ill.) won the first two games in his match, but Thomas Spettigue came back to win the final three games to claim the match, 8-11, 3-11, 12-10, 11-1, 11-5, at No. 2 singles.

The only other match that went the full five games was at ninth singles. Freshman Bayard Kuensell (Haverford, Pa.) pushed his match to five against Rishi Jalan, but lost, 11-7, 9-11, 6-11, 11-9, 13-11.

Dartmouth will try to bounce back with a victory Sunday at Columbia at 12 p.m.
