HANOVER, N.H. — The seventh-ranked men's squash team had its first home contest of the 2011-12 season on Wednesday and lost to fifth-ranked Harvard, 8-1. The loss dropped the Big Green to 3-1 overall and 0-1 in the Ivy League. The Crimson improved to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the conference.

Dartmouth earned its lone victory at No. 2 singles. Senior Nick Sisodia (Chicago, Ill.) used five games to best Gary Power of Harvard, 10-12, 11-6, 3-11, 11-6, 11-7. Senior Luke Lee (Exeter, N.H.) also went five games, but lost to Nicholas Hopcroft, 3-11, 11-5, 11-2, 5-11, 11-8.

Harvard swept the other seven matches, but at No. 1 singles, senior Chris Hanson (Greenwich, Conn.) pushed Brandon McLaughlin in each game. McLaughlin claimed the victory, 12-10, 11-9, 11-8.

The Big Green will head out on their winter training trip on Dec. 8, but return to competition at home against Princeton on Jan. 14 at 12 p.m.
