HANOVER, N.H.  –  Hansi Wiens, the Head Coach of Dartmouth men’s squash and assistant coach Theo Woodward have announced three new student-athletes will be joining the Big Green squash program next season as the Class of 2018 is announced.

“We look forward to welcoming a very strong Class of 2018,” said Wiens. “The three young men that will be joining our team have all demonstrated outstanding academic integrity as well as athletic and extracurricular achievements throughout their high school careers. After getting to know them, we have come to believe that they will be an amazing addition not just to the squash program but also to the Dartmouth community. We can't wait to start working with Brian, Jack and Alvin in the fall and look forward to guiding these young men through their college squash careers.”

A complete breakdown of the Class of 2018 is as follows:

Brian Giegerich
Wyndmoor, Pa. / Springside Chestnut Hill Academy

A four-year letterwinner at nationally-ranked SCH Academy. Giegerich finished in the top 16 at the U.S. Nationals as a senior and was named All-Inter-AC First Team and All-MASA as a junior and senior. He is a member of the Cum Laude Honor Society.

Jack Harvey
New York, N.Y. / The Collegiate School

A three-year letterwinner at The Collegiate School, Harvey was a team captain as a junior and senior going undefeated as a senior at the No. 1 position. Harvey graduated with honors in English and history. 

Alvin Heumann
Southport, Conn. / Westminster School

A four-year letterwinner and two-time team MVP at the Westminster School, Heumann posted a record of 14-3 at the No. 1 position. He went on to place ninth at the 2014 U.S. Junior Championship.
