HANOVER, N.H. – The No. 10 Dartmouth men’s squash team fell in its season opener to No. 2 Harvard, 9-0, on Tuesday evening in Ivy League action at the Berry Squash Center.
The two Ancient Eight rivals began conference play against one another in the Upper Valley for the second time in the last three seasons.
The visiting Crimson won seven of the matches in three games. The lone member of the Big Green to earn a victory was freshman Glen Brickman in his collegiate debut. Brickman topped Harvard’s Samuel Goldberg at the No. 10 spot. His victory didn't count towards the final outcome because only the competitors at spots 1-9 count towards match scoring.
The two Dartmouth players to capture a game in their matches were Michael Mistras and Bayard Kuensell at No. 5 and No. 8, respectively. Both Mistras and Kuensell won their first games before dropping the next three.
The Big Green men return to action on Dec. 5, heading to the Keystone State to face No. 7 Franklin & Marshall in non-conference action.
