Junior Year (2013-14)
In his third winter with the Big Green, Funk was tied for a team-high with nine wins... the nine victories marked a career high... won a pair of Ivy League matches, topping payers from Princeton and Brown... won two matches in a row three times throughout the year... ended the season winning three of his last four matches... registered non-conference wins against Franklin & Marshall, Navy, Bates, Western Ontario, and Williams.
Sophomore Year (2012-13)
In his second season with the team, Funk went 8-5 playing mostly out of the No. 8 and No. 9 spots... Netted Ivy League victories against Columbia and Yale... Registered non-conference wins against Bowdoin, Rochester, Williams, and Western Ontario... Ended his season on a four match winning streak.
Freshman Year (2011-12)
Went 1-2 on the season, playing in ninth position.
Mark Funk attended Millburn High School, where he competed in varsity lacrosse and was team captain his senior year. He also competed on the squash club team and was team captain all three years during his participation. Funk was named the lacrosse MVP Offensive Player of the Year his junior and senior years of high school.
Funk is the son of Paul and Jean and has two brothers.
