HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth men’s hockey team will host the University of Ontario Institute of Technology Friday night in a preseason exhibition match-up inside Thompson Arena at 8 p.m.

Admission to Friday night’s game is FREE for all fans.

The contest with the Ridgebacks will follow the Big Green women opening their preseason with an exhibition of its own against McGill at 5 p.m.

The Dartmouth men have already played three exhibition games since late August, facing off against two teams from Switzerland and another from Italy as part of the late-summer European trip.

While playing against Swiss and Italian professional teams, junior Tyler Sikura and sophomore Brad Schierhorn led the Green’s offensive grouping, netting two goals and four points apiece.

Senior Eric Robinson had three assists on the trip, while junior Charlie Mosey netted a pair in the finale against Ritten Renon and former NHL goaltender Chris Mason.

Friday night marks the first time the team will have the look fans will grow accustomed to the rest of the year as the five freshmen making up the Class of 2017 will be making their debuts.

Following the exhibition with UOIT, Dartmouth will get a few days of rest before heading south to open the 2013-14 regular season at the Liberty Invitational in Newark, N.J., at the Prudential Center, home to the NHL’s New Jersey Devils.
