Alex Stein '06 returned to the Dartmouth family in December 2011 as Assistant Director for Athletics Fundraising. The position reports to the Dartmouth College Fund and Special Fundraising Initiatives. She is responsible for raising current-use gifts that are restricted to the Dartmouth College Athletics program, working specifically with Field Hockey, Golf, Rowing, Sailing, Softball, Squash, Swimming & Diving, Tennis and Women's Volleyball.
 
Alex comes to Dartmouth following four years at GE Capital. There she participated in the Risk Management Leadership Program, with rotations in leveraged loan underwriting and distressed debt management, followed by a full-time role with GE Equity. Alex has her MBA with a concentration in finance from University of Connecticut School of Business. Since graduation Alex has remained active with Friends of Dartmouth Rowing as webmaster and alumni race coordinator.
 
At Dartmouth Alex was a member of both the women's and lightweight men's rowing program. She is the 2006 recipient of the Richard W. Grossman Coxswains' Award. In June Alex was selected to be the coxswain of the legs, trunk and arms four with coxswain crew that will represent the United States at the 2012 Paralympic Games in Eton Dorney, Great Britain.
