HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth head coach Bob Gaudet has announced that Brian Corcoran will assume the role of Director of Men’s Hockey Operations for the upcoming 2013-14 season.

Corcoran will be in his 11th season working with the Big Green next winter after serving as the team’s equipment manager during his first decade of service.

“Brian is uniquely qualified for this position, making him the perfect candidate,” Gaudet said. “His loyalty to our program is nearly unparalleled since I took over 16 years ago. Brian’s knowledge of our team and our tendencies over the years give him a great perspective on what we need to do both on and off the ice to be successful.

“I know that this move will greatly benefit our program,” Gaudet added.

In his new role, Corcoran will be responsible for all travel plans, assisting the coaching staff in video production and serving as a liaison to the athletic department and College offices in addition to other actions supporting the Green.

“The opportunity to work exclusively with Bob Gaudet's program is extremely exciting and I look forward to all of the challenges and successes that the new position will bring,” Corcoran said. “Over the past 10 years I believe that this program has been on an upward arc and I hope it continues that trend.

“Bob, Dave Peters and John Rose are the reasons why we have been able to enjoy the kind of success we have had recently, but they are also the reason why we have had so much success off of the ice, as well, with our student-athletes,” Corcoran added.

A 2001 graduate of West Florida with a degree in physical education, Corcoran had previously worked as the main equipment contact for the men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's soccer, the men's and women's tennis teams as well as softball and field hockey.
